BREAKING NEWS: TURKEY DAY CANCELLED, DUE TO INJURIES, THE ANNUAL TURKEY DAY INVITATION WILL BE POSTPONED UNTIL THE LAST THURSDAY OF NOVEMBER IN 2006. I APOLOGIZE FOR ALL THE TROUBLES THIS HAS CAUSED. About Turkey Day:
       The Turkey Day Invitational is an event that will go down in history as one of the most physically demanding sporting events in this century...This game is played by foot at a HIGH tempo, no faster game than this...Every Turkey Day, this event pulls in the best talent of TRI-STATE area, and as a result of this, many of the nation's top college programs find new prospects in this very showcase...."It's a great day for hockey"-Badger Bob
 

This years Top Prospects:
 
1) D.P.Mullen- The youngster of this experienced crew has proven over past years that he is the future of not only the Turkey Day, but hockey as a whole. He is a two way player that brings alot of emotion. A goaltender that has enormous amount of skill and a forward with alot of grit and determination, look out for D.P. this Turkey Day.
2) Alex "Zand" Begg- Defines the term "character." One of the best goaltenders out there. Isn't afraid to give his body up for the greater being of his team. Not shaken when he gives up a goal, but gets angrier and becomes more focused for the next shot. Can backbone any team, look out for some MVP votes.
3) The Fletcher Conglomeration- Headed up by Doug Sr., the Fletchers look to bring some more spunk to this years game. Doug Sr. brings the veteran leadership to any team. Doug Jr. uses his size to bother the other team, like a little flea. Joe drops that left leg down and can flat out rip it he also brings a loose personality to cheer up any team. And what about little Greggy Fletcher, looks to be pivital player in this years game, coming from a year where his age and size limited him, look for all of these Fletchers to be big parts in this years Turkey Day.
4) The Donatucci Pipeline- The family who originated this glorious game looks to be beneficial as always in the 2005 Turkey day. Rob Sr., a player who acts like Reggie Dunlop for the Charlestown Chiefs. Could be a coach or a captain, look for him to lead the champions this year. Rob Jr. brings in the college hockey personality and alot of skill. Michael, also known as The Beast is going to be a big contributor for any team he plays on, do not mess with him folks. And then ther is David, coming off his first year of AAA hockey, and looking to bring alot of skill and knowledge to the game.
5) Moon Mullen- The guy is flat out a player. Gives his body up for the "W". Plays solid D and can put the biscuit in the basket. His enthusiasm and dedication can rally any team from a deficit. Took a year off last year and is revamped and ready to go. Another player to watch to carry his team to victory.
6) Steven Begg- Two years and running for this MVP. He is clutch, comes up with game winners and game saving blocked shots. Has a cannon of a shot, that is nearly impossible for any goalie to stop. Any body hear his third straight MVP coming?
7) Rich "The Admiral" Begg- Determined to win, brings leadership and moxie. Stands up anyone coming into his D-zone. Played Division 1 college hockey at Vermont, and knows what it takes to play at the next level. Rough with the body and the stick. No games here, he plays like its life or death.
8) Greg Cosgrove- Made his Turkey Day debut last year and made a lasting impression. He immediately came in and made an impact. Is quick,coming from a lacrosse background, and has a nice shot. He has all the tools to be a future MVP, it will be interesting to see what he brings this year.
9) Andy Begg- A goalie on ice, a player on foot, is a terrific goal scorer and can snipe with the best of 'em. Not afraid to work in the corners and makes beautiful passes to teamates, another MVP candidate.
10) Will Frederick- Looking for another successful campaign in 2005. Has the size at 6'3",200 to dominate. Along with his size, comes his skill which he has plenty of. Uses his body in the corners and can score, he also is looking for that MVP award.
Injury Reserve:
Matt Quigley- A division 1 prospect, dislocated his shoulder in an ice game. Quigs brings all the tools especially "the sauce" to anyones stick. He will be greatly missed in this years game. Look for him to come back strong and determined in the 2006 game.
